Originally a Carmelite convent built over three centuries ago, Hotel El Convento is now a boutique-style hotel located in the heart of Old San Juan and approximately eight miles from San Juan Airport. The hotel is within walking distance of bars, restaurants, and the Old San Juan attractions. It's about a 10-minute drive to the nearest beach.

Hotel amenities include the library, fitness room, massage therapists, plunge pool, Jacuzzi, and rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Old San Juan. The Garden Terrace, overlooking the Plaza de las Monjas and historic San Juan Cathedral, offers breakfast and afternoon cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

The 58 rooms are outfitted with handcrafted furniture, mahogany beams, Andalusian tiles, and marble bathrooms.
