With its 1,125 rooms, Estrel Hotel and Convention Centre has its own train station and boat landing and is just three miles from Potsdamer Platz, Museumsinsel, and Alexanderplatz. The size of the hotel and the direct access to the convention and entertainment areas of the complex ensure easy logistics for event organizers. The hotel's 2,800-square-meter atrium functions as a meeting place and communication hub. On entering the glass-covered atrium (with its ceramic-tiled fountain created by French artist Gilbert Portanier), trees, restaurants, and bars open onto the central area. The hotel houses a fitness center, mini-market, Atrium Bar, Crystal Bar, an underground garage with 450 parking spaces, 24-hour security service, and five restaurants offering Italian, Asian, rustic Berlin, and international cuisine. The beer garden at the front of the hotel, on the banks of the Neuklln Ship Canal, caters to all tastes.
